Night Owl

Night Owl

A Poem by Vertigo

A city lit against the night sky

Street lamp beams
Casting mid-night dreams
With ever-moving shadows.
It is late
But I am awake
Like a night owl
Even as I walk down a lonely street
Nowhere to meet
Fearless in the night life
For there is nothing to face
But your own shadow...
