The Shadows That Breathe

The Shadows That Breathe

A Poem by Vertigo

The shadows live and breathe at night, but I don't mind...Nothing scares me even though there are times I am too weak to speak. The wind may pull but I am steady with my hair flying slightly against my face, and I don't mind the chill. I follow a rising path into the forlorn depths of a red moon, but I have nowhere else to turn. For I live and breathe at night just like the shadows that follow me even with the universal tides that seem to rise against me.
