Shallow Waters

I wade in shallow waters,
Following the light that streams through the tree branches.
I was never more alone but I could breathe in the day
And wonder.
I wade in shallow waters without a sound,
Hoping to find an end
Or perhaps a beginning
When one day the tides will rise...
As would I.
