Remembering

Remembering

A Poem by Vertigo

Nothing seems to last in this life
Living like lightning passing with a storm
With everything you and I ever knew
As we radiate with every word
Into one another
Streaming and seeming as though we're always dreaming
Sadly restrained with our melancholic chains
If only our hands linked like constellations meeting in their own harmony
Even as star light lives on and on
And I
Will always remember
Even as you stand there with your hands in your pockets
Lost in the evening tides
Always...unaware.
