Awakening

Awakening

A Poem by Vertigo

Lightly pressing hands into one another with your autumn eyes seeing past all the light brimming with sunlit streams the trees laced and bare reaching endlessly to the pale skies just as I feel the warmth of your hand in mine. I breathe in as though the distance between us was only a myth and nothing more, for even in solitude you can feel a heart beating that breathes life into a single star awakening just as the sun sets into twilight.
