Shades of Gray

Shades of Gray

A Poem by Vertigo

Darkened corners and borders of shadows that lay with the sun lights edge and I walk along like I'm on a balancing beam and I dream of you taking my hand like it was nothing encasing fingers and I....I walk along unnoticed in the tides like there is no going back when I knew you were there, hearts beating minds wreathing like a web catching the rain and I could see you as clear as day but tomorrow is here and I am losing sight like the shades of gray in my memory like a dimming dream and the click click clicking in the back of my mind is still there and you were frayed, displayed, made into nothing but dreams in my sleepless nights and now all I have is the air that I breathe in.
