Halloween

Golden dreams lost

In golden leaves

Moving with the frigid air

As I see golden smiles

Laughing with candle light

Like headless scarecrows

In the night

Like a dream where you can be

Anyone you want to be

Within a sea of hidden masks

And facades

At play

Only on this day

Of Halloween....

This reminds me of why I like halloween..it's a time when we are in charge of the scary things and we look them in the eye and laugh..and we dress up .. and sometimes become something of a fantasy.. we can all be kids ..and just have fun... good work..I liked your poem
