If Only

If Only

A Poem by Vertigo

The sounds fluctuate in the baritone of his voice that almost echos in my mind...sad to say on the day we met I would be tongue tied with my mind filled to the brink with silhouettes and missteps contrived from the mental blocks and hidden clocks that click in the back of my mind. Its a mystery, what I truly thought of you with those golden eyes and their hidden sighs. And though I am visible in shadowy light I am not...quite...clear.
If only I
would
speak
up
