Crow

Crow

A Poem by Vertigo

Succumbed to the dark gray of day,
Sitting by a window
I lean gently against the pane
As the shadowy light
Continuously burns through me...
With the sky held aloft by the clouds
That loom in my memory...
I live in an oneiric state
Where I fall to the surface
Of the jagged contours
Reaching out of my skin.
Slowly I open my eyes
To find a crouching crow
Peering down at me
Waiting patiently...
