Outlines Of A Sunset

Outlines Of A Sunset

A Poem by Vertigo

Blue-gold pulsing with its own light
The outline
Brandished like arms
Reaching out to find
What can't be reached
Seeking no other
In this light
That I breathe in
For there is nothing more real
In a sunset
And nothing more real
Than what is within reach
For I can unfold my eyes
In hidden sighs
And uncover the lies
That have held me back
In your place I stand
Hidden within my hand
There, you will always know
When the hardest part
Is letting go...
