Eventually

Eventually

A Poem by Vertigo

Making time to breathe in the pages of a book
Carrying the only light that has held me
In every sunlit window where I would sit and wonder

In my dreams we are awake
Even in the solemn moments when I feel the loneliness
And the ebbing silence that draws me into myself

We wear our human skin
But I know where the color hides
With widened irises and boundless curiosity, waiting

I awaken at night and know and feel and dream
And I am not alone because I believe that starlight will reach me
Eventually...

Much more hopeful.......nice! I like the descriptive words used. This sounds very real.
