Like memory

Like memory

A Poem by Vertigo

Only to be heard through this shallow breathing
The shy interludes when I stand so far
Apart
The silent
Unmoving glance
And no one would guess...
No one considers what brings this underlying friction
Between how we are
And the apathy that lingers

And only I...I count the days like stars when every light fades to the background
A remnant like memory in stillness

You speak eloquently of the undefinable space that fluctuates, wavers, and sadly at times widens beyond control, between two people.

Unspoken emotions are the hardest to work through. Somehow they always seem to come to the forefront though.
