Dragonfly hearts

Dragonfly hearts underneath autumn skies
I breathe this calling that we all once knew
Clenched hands and dilated pupils
Rising against the sunset waiting always in its only stillness
I watch my shadow unfold
And wonder
I have loved...
And I have known
I have fallen underneath the weight of a feather
Bright suns and shallow moons
That I have dreamed under
And I have known dragonfly hearts
Underneath autumn skies...
