Wind (Ravin’ Ink Submission 1.24.25)

Wind (Ravin’ Ink Submission 1.24.25)

A Poem by LisaCarol
"

I live against the foothills and the wind is crazy, sometimes over 100 mph. The wind is my least favorite weather.

"

Another windy night,

Awoken me in fright.

Now I’m tired and uptight.

A favorite drink in sight.

I’ll take the morning slow,

With my coffee in tow.

The ground covered in snow,

TV turned to a news’ show.

All the news is bad,

Said the young, news’ lad.

It is very, very sad.

That darn wind drove us all mad!

after reading about your location, your attitude towards the wind becomes very clear. I have a friend who lives in Kansas and they are not a friend of the wind either. Would like to also blame the wind for the bad news but think pretty much that is our doing. Enjoyed your perspective and your work -carl

Finely voiced: every line giving a meaning with true thought and intention! Wind isn't my or lady dog's best friend, it boot dances in the loft like a tank or few from Bovington.

Perfectly timed LisaCarol, for we are to be slapped around a bit by storm Eowyn rocks up to cause some mayhem.
We even got a government alert on our phones that was loud enough to induce pregnancy and/or heart attack. I opted for the "jump in the air and hit your head on the ceiling " option myself.
I don't like the wind much either. We have our own weather system where this 100mph effort from Eowyn (silly name) falls under the category as a machete wind, because it will be so cold and moving so fast it could split you in two! 😃

Yes the wind is always in control and this time it drove the broadcaster mad, and I fully understand why….a lovely subtly sarcastic poem, like it!
