Hungry Dog (If only I had listened . . . Ravin’ Ink Prompt 12.14.24)

A Story by LisaCarol
"

Silly, short story about my dog.

"

If only I had listened . . . But I never do! Oh, and I should start this story with a little background. You see, I am a dog! A Yorkshire terrier mix, a little over a year old. I have a terrible case of attention deficit disorder.

If only I had listened, I would not be starving right now! The problem is that I have a very, important job in the morning. I make sure everyone in the house wakes up by 5 a.m. Every morning is like Christmas morning to me. I jump around, dance and wiggle. I am so darn cute! My human Mom gets up right away, but my human Dad takes a lot more work. I must kiss him a lot on his face, which he really loves. He especially likes when I lick his nose. I make him laugh so much!

I have a sister, she is a Chiweenie, a mix of Chihuahua and Dachshund (aka weenier dog). She is older than me and if I don’t eat in the morning, she always eats my food! I seem to forget that every morning. Well, gotta go. It is finally dinner time, and I am not going to miss this meal.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Wonderful, fun and such first class punctuation cos normally dogs are apt to have a good scratch when focussing. Not you, however: think you'll win a few or more tale wags with this.

Strokes, tickle tummy and scritch-scratch between the ears too, As for your darling dog.. :)))

I think one of my dogs could have written this! We do love our hairy companions, don't we? Nice, happy writing, my friend.

I always start the morning with a sometimes extremely wet wake up kiss from my Border Collie/Springer Spaniel cross, who is always absolutely full of the joys of spring, so this is a story I can really relate to; and written as it from your little doggies perspective it was a delightful and humorous read.

I just got back home to Texas after two months in NC with my brother. They have a tiny Yorkie whose eyes speak volumes of understanding, and delight at everything... she barks to be let out to do her business, and dances to celebrate her power to make those tall humans do her bidding.

Perhaps when life catches up with you a bit more and leaves you weak with hunger you will finally figure out the only course of action available to you is to eat your greedy weiner sister.
She might be a pain in your butt but she does sound delicious! 😃
