Finding My Voice

Universe calling:

I am falling.

Past is gone!

Afraid to move on.

Embrace a new way!

Nothing to say.

Contemplate the fit!

Think about it.

Make the choice!

Find my voice.

First time is not easy!

Feeling queasy.

Another try!

Still didn’t fly.

Try again!

This time I win.

The universe spoke!

Knowledge and growth.

This rhymes almost perfectly, although the rhythm seemed slightly jerky in places.

Overall, I found it quite uplifting. It made me think of someone, yearning to find a new way. A new path to take in life, perhaps.

By writing this, it may have felt quite self-affirming for the writer? Indeed, she certainly seems to have found her voice here.! Thanks, for sharing.

Although this seems to be about creative writing, I didn't know that for a while, and thought it was about navigating life's bumpy roads. Especially, it made me think about divorce and the challenges that presents. (My fifty year-old son is in that situation at the moment, so it's on my mind) But, oh, yes, I know how it is to be in search of one's writing voice. Your attitude is good and will surely produce fine fruit.

Don’t fear the universe, each of us our own expectations of what we desire and how we want to live life; use your voice to guide you on the right path for you, no one else…..poetry is a great outlet for using your voice…just remember you are unique!

you certainly have a voice when it comes to writing. at heart, you're very positive and jubilant ready to take on life. yet the shadow of doubt is ever present and this dialogue between light and dark is a source of discomfort. there is nothing like poetry to quell anxiety like that, and i think you were able to channel this internal conflict onto the page while making it fun for the reader. i enjoyed this work.

This poem is like none I've read before. I see how Universe has much wisdom and the human is constantly reassured, goes through many experiences and comes to Universe in 'Finding My Voice'. It is amazing and to me thought-provoking.
