Imperfectly Perfect You

Imperfectly Perfect You

A Poem by Laylah

I am in awe at the many faces you wear.

The creator most certainly created you on his best day.

In your eyes there is pleasure and pain - at times, both are but one.

I see strength and I see weakness " redundant most definitely!

I see the strength of a man possessed " as though the universe belongs to him who commands it.

I see a King among kings - governed by a weakness that only gods possess.

In you I see pride " no envy.

I see a copious love - a love that is deep and vast as the oceans are wide.

I see sadness, and when fiercely pierced - loneliness.

I see joy that is as contented as a child believing in all things are good.

In you there is virtue most high " an esteemed man.

Your valour wears you like a medal of honour.

When you move it’s as though the earth moves only at your beckoning - you walk tall!

I see a complicated man, blatant in his deeds " simple by virtue.

I see a man who could easily steal a ladies heart while she stares besotted.

In you, I see the most beautiful of all creations.

When you smile, it is joy to the world " bliss in the heart!

As I gaze transfixed, I can’t help but wonder if the man that stands before me is aware of how perfectly perfect he is.

You are a man favoured by the gods, a man of honour and grace.

You truly are a work of art!

A morning star that sings praises ‘till the coming of dawn.

Be marvelled at the power of your beauty, but pray not it deceives you.
