I admit I had to look up the definition of caltrops. I was surprised to find out what it was, which brought the poem full circle. Mysterious and fun. Nice.

Thanks! I have many memories of growing up with a Chinaberry tree in the yard. What I remember most is sore feet from the dried pods. Nature's way of saying, 'Wear Shoes!'
