First Anniversary

A 50 word micro story

He takes her hand

 

'Sweetheart,

It has only been a year,

but I have cherished every minute.

Every laugh and smile,

and pout, and fight.'

 

He smiles slightly, shrugs bashfully.

 

'Well, the makeup part, yeah?'

 

“And now pregnant? 

I can almost see our future…

Almost…”

 

He cries into her coffin.
