How Do I Save A Life?

I was once tasked with saving a man from taking his own life and thankfully I succeeded.

How do I save a life?

How do I show him?

That life is beautiful?

That his heart is a wonderful gift?

That his voice sings me to sleep?

That without his thoughts,

Without his presence, 

I'd be all alone?

I'd be stricken with Plague, 

My heart unable to rest,

His mind in turmoil.

His heart uneasy,

His faith in question

How do I save a life?

How do I bring him back from the bitterness?

How do I bring him home?

How do I make a man whole?

Good questions are in this poem. All we can do is be a friend and hope we can change the direction of a life. It isn't easy. When someone is empty. They must desire to be filled with life and hope again. Thank you for the excellent poem.
