Perfect Strangers

Perfect Strangers

A Poem by LawrenceA
"

How I met a perfect strager

"

The Sun,

Rising as usual.

School,

Dragging on as usual.

Class,

I skipped, as usual.

An uneventful day,

One like many others,

Oh look,

A friend,

Come to say hello,

But what's this?

Who are you?

A friend of my friend?

I've never heard of you.

Have I seen you before?

Wait, what's your name again?

Hmm.....

Sounds familiar,

No?

We never met before?

In my mind,

I swear I've seen you,

I have heard that angelic voice before,

Seen that beautiful smile,

Had that name grace my lips,

I swear I know you.

No?

You and I?

Me and You?

How is it,

That I fell in love with you?

And that you with I?

How is that?

We met each other as,

Perfect Strangers

And leave each other as,

Perfect Lovers

A very nice conversation led to a possibility of love. I like the flow of conversation and the positive ending. A excellent poem.
