A Knock

A Knock

A Poem by LawrenceA
"

A knock at the door when you're home alone....

"
The sun
It was my greatest firend
My hope
My light

Here without it
I can't see
Without it's warmth
I shiver

Now I'm alone
Not even the moon wants me
The stars too,
All have vanished

Now I listen
For I hear someone
They are coming close
Right outside my door

A knock, then two
I say nothing
Another Knock
Louder and Harder

Then I realize
I was alone
No one was home
Then I heard the Knock again

I would scream
But Who would hear?
Or worse,
What would hear?

Strange this poem was. I don't know what to say but it questions if one wanted to hear those knocks or they really were there? Insanity is a great enemy when it comes to loneliness.
