Sorry I Am Failing You

Sorry I Am Failing You

A Poem by LawrenceA
"

A poem I wrote for my brother when he was down and I couldn't cheer him up.

"
The day's turns,
the day's fate,
A mold able clay,
Here I go again,
Broken free of the chains,
Master of my own tide.
But alas,
I'm troubled,
There he stands...
My dear brother,
A wild wolf,
Howling to roam,
Whining at his chain,
One I can not brake,
I can do nothing but watch,
In pain and turmoil,
My brother's crys tear my heart apart,
His scent fills my nostrils,
His pain keeps me awake at night,
Please someone,
How do I save him?
What do I do?
Brother hear me I plead,
I want to take you away,
To that place you seek,
To drop you there,
Where the flow is your word,
But I don't know how,
I'm sorry I'm failing you........

The melancholy is felt at one's failure of not helping another human being. Seeing them in pain and enduring such a moment makes your heart sting at that. I love the flow to your words and the description makes a clearer picture of what we are seeing. Great poem.

A powerful story in this poem. I feel the desire to escape and assist your brother. I could feel the sadness in the ability not being able to help the brother. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
