All I See

All I See

A Poem by LawrenceA
"

A piece written as my brother was leaving for college.

"
It's all I can do to stop it,
The pain is mounting,
Beyond control,
I welcome it.....
With arms wide open,
My eyes swim with tears,
Of joy that you are there,
Freedom that you waited so long for......
But also of the distance,
For the things unsaid,
For the creatures beneath the rug,
The dark secrets I hide.....
To save you,
So that this joy rains,
May you not see this,
May you see my smile,
May you see only the happiness,
Cause that's all I see when I'm with you.....

Hard to lose a brother. Family is the key to a good life. I like the happiness and the sadness of the goodbye. Never a real goodbye. Good to stay in contact and hold on to the connection of family always. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poem.

The strong and barely controllable emotion is contained with a sense of
sentimental regard that something is held to deserve; the importance or preciousness of the moment, and the heartfelt association to those you
hold closest to your heart, the form and passion is captivating, stunning.
