If EvenA Poem by LawrenceAThe silence is setting in. The days are long and tiresome, filled with empty words. There are voiceless whispers traveling across my face. Are they reaching you? Do you feel any sting or pain at all? I get the feeling that we may never recover from this. The mortal wounds that came after the battle. You only said that you wouldn't speak to me, I didn't know that I would begin to feel this way. I never want to see you again. Is that wrong? That you aren't here to defend yourself? Or worse, that I put you there where you had no choice? If ever we make it past this silence, I know the way. I know my heart yearns for you to return. If even today I want you gone, tomorrow I'll want you back.
