Captains of these Bodies

Captains of these Bodies

A Poem by LawrenceA

They say it's always here
To just trust and it happens
Some sort of magic
That can't be planned
I can't tell you how it feels
We know the experience
Those without numb to the process
Those like me a gateway
An explorer of the worlds
Captain of these bodies
Lifting our spirits to the vibes
We all look inside
See the sounds and hear the sights
Building bridges to each other's hearts
But a soul caged all too common
I zone to my cage
My mind riddled with doubt
Shackles tie my brain down
Trapt in the past
Dreaming of tomorrow
When the key is here
Lost in a moment
Blasting in an ear bud
Drying in the ink on the paper
