Wishing Away

This is my firts poem ever written online. I got the inspiration from an L Lawliet Oneshot on Quizilla. I forgot the name of the author and of the Oneshot, but I just want to say thank you for this.

I guess I'm just wishing my life away

My head filled with thoughts I would never say

Words caught up in my throat

Threating to spill, and make me choke

I've always thought before I spoke aloud

and some of my actions

Make people look at me as if I'm too proud

But all of these thoughts

And all of these dreams

Just seem like something

My lonely, cold heart would wish to redeem

But it seems I'm just wishing my life away

My head filled with thoughts I would never say

I like the use of repetition at the beginning and the end. It really enforces the point you are trying to convey here. It's a short, simple poem that speaks out with many emotions for itself.
