The Passionate Mortician to His LoveA Poem by Jocelyn LawI wrote this as a sophomore in high school about a mortician and his love. I thought it would be funny to share.Come live with me and be my love, For you are the one I always think of My passion for you is quite deadly And you’re actually alive, incredibly You shall have a bed made of the finest silk and cotton Don’t worry about the smell I know it’s rotten It is delightfully compact and warm There might still be a finger in there but that’s the norm We can dig up our future and bury the past My love for you will always last No one will take you and make them their hobby I’d like to see them try over my dead body Your touch is warm to my cold embalmed heart I can’t close my eyes because I don’t want us to part But my time has come my angelic dove Please live with me and be my love © 2016 Jocelyn Law
