The Way She

The Way She

A Poem by Lave
"

love, sex, happiness, life, eternity, peace, chaos, everything

"

My love is like any other; the eye of the hurricane of life. Everything in existence whirls around and around, bumping into each other, morphing and changing, buffeting backwards and forwards. And I am in there with it, being knocked down by the unexpected, being torn apart, and slammed back together, but every so often, the wind tosses me into the deepest calm, the serenity of stillness, the timeless movement that is the eye. There I drift, arms spread wide, sifting eternity through my fingertips like sand. Then I am pulled, by a gust, warm and powerful, gentle and certain, up, where I am collected hand by hand, arm by arm, leg by leg, into the tangled embrace of my love. And there we spin, for ever and for no time, in a tornado of blended being. Return to engulfment is inevitable, but I always go with the wind at my back and a warmth in my bones.
