I smiled, popping in a scary movie into the DVD player, walking over to the couch and snuggling into a pillow. I watched Emma get comfortable with a blanket, snuggling into it as well. I really did love Emma, she was beautiful. I've only known her for a small amount of time, but she was prefect for me.

"So, what do you think happened with Laurynn?" Emma asked, sitting up. I looked at her, pressing play from the remote.

"I don't know," I said, shrugging. "She seemed a bit tipsy, or hung over." Emma winced a bit, like she actually cared for Laurynn, even though we all thought she hated her.

"Well, hopefully she feels better once she wakes up," she said, smiling and lying back down.

"Yeah, I hope so," I said, thinking back to Laurynn's past habits. Hopefully her drinking problem, or her smoking problem, or her drug addiction came back. I don't know what had happened later on, but whatever it was, it seemed pretty bad.

Even though Emma kept screaming and jumping from the scary parts, I didn't flinch a bit. The only thing I'd kept thinking about was what had happened before Laurynn and Vic had reached home. Vic woke up at four in the morning, groaning with everything he did. And the only thing he did do was get up, talk to someone on the phone, leave the house, and then come back with Laurynn by his side.

I sighed, getting up from the couch and looking at the time. It was only 10:36 in the morning, which was pretty early. I ejected the movie from the DVD player, looking towards Emma, seeing that she was hiding from behind the blanket she snuggled into.

I laughed a bit, walking over to the couch once more as I turned the TV and DVD player off. I grabbed her sides, tickling her and laughing as she shrieked. "No, Jake!" she exclaimed, laughing loudly. "That's my ticklish spot!" I laughed as I let go of her, taking the blanket off of her face and looking at her.

Our lips were only centimeters apart, and our bodies pressed together. I grabbed her waist as I leaned in, touching her lips with mine. We lied there, kissing each other carefully and cautiously. We separated the kiss once we heard steps coming from the wooden stairs.

I looked towards Emma as she jolted towards the other side of the couch. I looked back up to the stairs, seeing who was coming down. It was Vic. He sat down on the chair, putting his feet up on the coffee table, yawning and sighing. I sat up, sitting down on the couch and putting my feet on the coffee table as well.

"So, Vic," I started. He looked up at me. His hair was tangled, and greasy. His eyes had bags underneath them. His voice was scratchy and groggy. "What exactly happened?" I asked, staring at him intentionally. I saw Emma shift carefully, looking towards him as well.

"Well, I honestly don't know," he said, looking towards his feet. "I got a call at four in the morning, to a girl crying her eyes out, and it was Laurynn. She begged for me to come and get her from a club. Of course, I went to go get her, but once I got there, she smelt like alcohol, smoke, and her eyes were blood shot," he explained.

I winced as he went on to explain what else happened. "She was dressed like a s**t, as you could tell prior our nap. Well, there were forty year old men, and a bunch of other guys that looked about our age. Half of them were high off of something. There was a girl that was passed out on the floor near the double glass doors, and by her car were three cigarette butts." I sighed, knowing that she had to be the owner of one of those butts.

"I don't know what happened, she wouldn't tell me anything. But on our way home, she had thrown her phone towards the dash and cursed at it. I didn't want to ask her what was wrong because I knew she'd just start balling her eyes out again," he said, shaking his head. "I'll ask her what happened when she wakes up and is a bit more sober."

Emma nodded in a half-hearted way. "I feel bad, actually, for Laurynn," she said. "She must feel like s**t." She sighed and got off the couch, limping towards the kitchen and looking for something to eat. Emma's leg had gotten better, and her doctor schedule had been moved to tomorrow.

Hopefully she was going to get her cast off so she could walk better and not be so grouchy. I looked towards Vic, softening my eyes as he put his hand up to his forehead, pinching it like he had a headache from all the chaos.

"I'm sorry this happened," I said. He looked up at me and nodded.

"Thanks, I just…wish I knew if something like this happened a lot in her past," he said. I pursed my lips together, thinking about Laurynn's past.

"I don't know, man," I said, shrugging. He looked at me once more.

"I can trust you, right, though?" he asked. I nodded slightly.

"Vic!" a voice echoed through the house. He sighed, getting off the chair and walking back up the stairs.

"Yes?" I overheard him.

"I need to talk to you," she said. I knew exactly what they were getting ready to talk about, and I'm glad they were talking about it.

I looked towards Emma who had been making all kinds of noises in the kitchen. I walked in there, looking at her and smiling, kissing her neck from behind.

"We need to talk as well," I said. She moaned a bit.

"Hmm?" she moaned.

"What does this make us?" I asked, smiling as I kissed her neck once more. "I mean…are we going to date, or what?" She nodded slightly.

"Yes, let's try it," she said, smiling at me.

And I knew that this would be a good try.
