"And you were wrong," I said as Laurynn shivered in my arms. I took her hand and led her to the car. "Let's get you home." I said to her. We sat down in the car and Laurynn looked through her messages. "D****t!" She said, throwing her phone at the dash. I looked over for a split second, then looked back to the road. When we arrived back at there, Emma was sitting with Jake at the kitchen table. They had cards laid out in front of them. I sat down, and asked what they were doing. Emma looked over at me. "Magic!" She said, smiling and setting down more land card then a monster. Jake smirked and laid down another card and attacked Emma with it. "D****T!" She yelled putting a card into a small pile she had. Emma threw her hands in the air and snatched up her cards. "You win." She said, pointing to him. "again." Jake smiled and put his deck of cards back in his pocket. "D****t." She muttered again, shaking hands with him. "But Very challenging." Jake said, smiling. "My first decent opponent." I looked at Jake and Emma like they were crazy. "What in all hells name are you playing?!" "Were you playing." Emma said all smart a*s like. "And it's called Magic: the gathering. It's a card game." She smiled "It used to be Mine and Greg's, then mine and Xavier's, favorite game." I flinched at the mention of Greg but she seemed pretty comfortable saying it, plus Xavier's. I smiled back and then took Laurynn's hand. "Laurynn and I are going upstairs." We did as I said we did and went back to bed, because she'd barely slept a wink, and downstairs I heard another scary movie come on as I drifted to sleep. I'm just loving today. © 2012 Laurynn Fuentes c:Author's Note
