Home is a Feeling

Home is a Feeling

A Poem by Laurierose
"

“You still wonder How I fell for you?” -Moonchild

"

Chocolate moons house

Bright, brilliant wonders

As golden as

The sun

She peeks down at me

And,

Immediately,

I’m warm.

Thoughts of her

Remind me;

She isn’t

Too far

Away.

I love this simple whimsical way of describing the feeling of being home. I totally agree . . . it's more a feeling than a place. Sometimes places get muddied up with bad memories, but the feeling of home is something that can't be sullied. The details you use to paint the feelings are unique & fresh. I love the last sentiment: "she isn't too far away" . . . as how we hold the feeling of being home in our hearts, so it's never far (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

This makes me happy; thank you for the heartfelt comment!
Home definitely is a feeling more than a place! I felt like for a while the last only person who truly felt this way, and I know they saw home is where the heart is, but your description was better and so beautiful. I love the warm feeling you invoke and even more, I absolutely love the last line.

That makes me so happy I can inspire someone like that. It was my pleasure. (:
the sun is never too far away if we find peace and contentment within our hearts...
we only have to look up....we spend to much time with our eyes and hearts downcast.
nicely expressed,
j.
