and the feeling i get here is that both parties thought themselves right out of the relationship...the fantasy looked and sounded great...but then the reality was too scary.
nothing to really rewind.
i like the pace, and i like the somewhat surprise ending.

I am left with a sense of wonder if the anticipated sketch of each other measured up to wanting and the interrelation in the unfolding coming true was a whirlwind disappointment but at the end the question mark of the crossed out me also gives me inference that it wasn't of a lover but of the love of self in this depiction or perhaps a bit of both.... but nicely penned reflections Laurie regardless of intent it makes me think

There’s definitely a hint of hesitation weaved in this piece and a mass amount of ambiguity, I’ll agree to that. I wrote this with the thought of how the very love that encourages can also help us in second guessing. Thanks for the thoughtful review. It gave me something to think about lol

deeply loving words but filled with regret. there is nothing like the feeling of being in love. when we're deeply in love, we feel as if nothing could ever stop it. yes, they say that love is blind and things happen or eyes are opened. life happens. sometimes we're in love with the idea of being in love more than the other person themselves. no matter what we do, it happened and is not going away and we can't go back and change the past. it hurts and is temporary but we can take comfort in good memories - that is the beauty of loving... :)

Looking back is for those who have finished the journey and made the trip. It's not for the journeyman or the pilgrim.
