Of Mathamatics and Life

Of Mathamatics and Life

A Poem by Laurena
"

How is the essences of life truly defined?

"
My eyes, transfixed, begin to blur
The numbers and letters mingle,
Till variables, equations, form inconceivable blobs.

My mind, erased; my eyes, now open.
I witness with sight of someone involved,
With the present, the now, no imaginary plane.

My breath is real, this vessel does prove
Every move i make, in action, not mind.
No number, or symbol, makes up this existence.

And here I ask, is it worth the time?
These scribbles of math on paper and mind;
How is the essences of life truly defined?

I'm sure everyone gets a bit frustrated with math at times. I know I do. Opinions welcomed!
