When will I meet you?

When will I meet you?

A Poem by Lauren_s97x
"

A poem about how a little girl waiting patiently for her baby brother to come out of Mummy's tummy.

"
Brother when will I meet You?
I feel like it's been forever.
You are taking such a long time.
Oh please can you get here sooner.
I want to see you you little dime.

Oh Mummy please make him go faster
Is there anything that I can do?
Perhaps a nice walk with Grandma
Brother when will I meet you?

Still no sign of baby
Are you ever going to come?
Waiting and waiting and waiting
Baby it's time to leave that tum!

Will it be today?
No longer just us two?
The clock is ticking and tocking
Brother when will I meet you?

Surely it is time?
I think she's going to pop!
You're getting very big now
Do you ever want to stop?

You're making mummy tired
I want her to feel brand new
These days have turned to months
Brother when will I meet you?

Mummy laughs and says its time
I can barely hold back my smile
Todays the day, it's finally here
You'll be here in a while.

We hear a baby crying
I stand as Grandpa does too
A baby in my Mummy's arms
Oh brother... is that you?

Lauren_s97x
Working with children I see a lot of stories and poems about animals and friends but not many about pregnancy - this is my first attempt with this genre. Please don't be too harsh! :P
