No emotion

can ever be as painful

as hope.

 

For only it

can destroy a man

and then create him anew

just to destroy him again.

 

For only it

cannot be crushed

or expelled, or controlled.

 

And I feel myself

once again

under its power,

what can I do?

 

But wait for the expected

and pray it happens quickly?
