Dear BodyA Poem by Laura HarrisonI am sorry for not taking better care of you and for not loving you as much as I should, I am sorry for listening to them when they said you were not worthy of love. I am sorry for all those times I stood in front of the mirror wishing that you were taller, prettier, thinner. I am sorry for making all those marks that are never going to fade and for all those times I just wanted you to disappear- I am sorry for being ashamed. For the longest time, I believed that I was defined by the way I look and to the rest of the world, it was never enough but I realise now that there are more important things than the colour of your hair or the size of your jeans and I am sorry for all those flaws that I tried my best to hide; I know now that true beauty lies on the inside. I am sorry for hating you so much and for all those years of neglect. Dear body, I am sorry for expecting you to be perfect. © 2015 Laura HarrisonReviews
