I Wanna Be Everything

I Wanna Be Everything

A Poem by Laura Harrison

I wanna be that song that makes you smile

That makes you dance around your room
When you're home all alone
I wanna be that memory
That stops you in your tracks
That suddenly comes into your mind
And takes you right back
I wanna be your morning cup of coffee
That gets you ready for the day
That makes you able to handle
Anything that gets thrown your way
I wanna be that sunset
That makes you stop and stare
The one that makes you realise
That you're blessed to even be here
I wanna be that phone call
You're waiting for all night
The one that will make the day
The one that will make everything alright
I wanna be the kiss that gives you butterflies
And the arms that keep you warm
I wanna be everything that makes you happy
I wanna be the place that you call home
Yeah, I wanna be your sunlight
I wanna be the thing you love the most
But above and beyond everything else
I just wanna be yours.

Made me smile. It's like I'm watching a series of selected scenes in a romantic movie with a love song playing in the background. Simple but warms the heart. Thanks for sharing this poem. :)

Amazing flow of words led to perfect ending.
"I wanna be the thing you love the most
But above and beyond everything else
I just wanna be yours."
I like the positive and hopeful feel of the words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Hi, I'm new to the site so I'm not too sure how these reviews work, but I really enjoyed reading this poem. It was like your words painted a picture, and also it reminded me of my own life. :)
