Loved by YouA Poem by Laura HarrisonThey say don’t expect anyone to love you until you love yourself first but, hell, you made me forget that I hated myself at all and the first time you placed gentle kisses on every inch of my body I suddenly didn’t care about each and every one of my flaws and I remember those times standing in front of the mirror wondering why someone would make me this ugly wishing I could be someone other than me but you told me recently that the first time we met you were blown away by my beauty, you told me that you were so lucky to have me and whenever I’m with you you make me feel confident and strong I’m comfortable with all the parts of me that I used to think were wrong and even though I don’t feel this way all the time at least I have you in my life and even though I may never love myself the way I would like to at least I know that I will always be loved by you. © 2015 Laura Harrison |
