Black and WhiteA Poem by Laura HarrisonUs poets- we’re liars, all of us we weave tales of happiness of love and love when in real life we’re hanging by a thread desperately scrawling down hopeful words to stop the mad ones in our heads. We write about the world try to convince you that it’s really perfect but even we don’t have faith in these words yet and call it inspiring call it wishful thinking call it whatever you like but I want to believe in what I write I want to live my life out in the real world and not just on paper I want to go outside and have adventures I want to smile knowing that it’s real and I want to think that time does heal for once in my life I want to trust my words and believe that everything is going to be alright because after all, it’s right here in front of me in black and white. © 2015 Laura HarrisonReviews
