Warped RealityA Poem by Laura HarrisonSomeone please tell me why swearing is considered such an unspeakable, terrible
thing to do when worse things are shown in the media like it’s daily
news? Young models in magazines looking like their ribs are trying to break free from their
skin actors being raped and murdered on the big screen anyone different being portrayed as monsters when they’re just normal human beings. I feel like I’m living in a warped reality everything is backwards and nothing makes sense to me someone please explain why in some countries it’s still illegal to be gay or why people get hurt just for looking a certain way someone reassure me that I’m not the only one who thinks the world is crazy and tell me that there will come a time when things will change I’m not asking for a miracle I’m not looking for some big epiphany I understand that things will never change completely so just give me a drop in the ocean make me hope if only for a moment that there are still people out there like me who see the world the way I see make me believe that I’m not the only one not participating in this warped reality. © 2015 Laura HarrisonReviews
