You Are PoetryA Poem by Laura HarrisonIt’s always been a dream of mine to fall in love with someone who loves books and poetry as much as I do to meet someone in my favourite section of the library holding my favourite book so when I met you and discovered that you couldn’t even read properly it’s an understatement to say that I was disappointed but then I got to know you more and I learnt that you may not understand words like I do but you have thousands of them inside of you just bursting to escape. You grew to trust me and you told me some of your stories all the things you wouldn’t dare say to anybody else and as I sat there and listened to you talk about everything you had gone through you made me realise that you don’t love poetry because you are poetry yes, I know that it sounds silly but your voice captivated me and your words flew into the air and found their way into my heart where I shall treasure them forever along with my favourite works from my favourite writers and I think that you just became one of them so please don’t ever stop telling me stories don’t keep those words hidden inside your chest and know, that even though you don’t love books and poetry
as much as I do I still fell in love with you. © 2015 Laura HarrisonReviews
