The World Is A Beautiful Place, Especially When You've Got Someone To See It With

There were times when I never went outside

I stayed in my bedroom day and night

looking back now, I guess I was scared

the world couldn’t get to me

if I pretended it wasn’t there

but then you came along

and made me realise

that the world isn’t that scary after all

and you held my hand

as you showed it to me.

You took me on an incredible adventure

filled with tons of joy and wonder

you made me experience things I wouldn’t dare try on my own

you made me feel things unlike anything I’ve ever known

you showed me that life can shine so bright

you made me see the world in a whole new light

and it made me think

of all the years I spent hiding in my bedroom

if only I had gotten myself together

I could have met you sooner

but it’s been said that everything happens for a reason

and maybe God was just waiting for the perfect moment

to set our lives on the same path

for you to help me save me from myself.

You made me fall in love with the world

and somewhere along the way,

I fell in love with you too.
