Two Insecure LoversA Poem by Laura HarrisonThe first time we made love you put your clothes back on straight after as if we had just done it in the toilet of a seedy club my lack of self-esteem told me that it was because you thought my body was ugly but it took me months to realise that it was because you hated yours. I didn’t understand because I had never seen anything more beautiful than your un-clothed body and I had never felt anything more perfect than when you were lying naked on top of me but then I realized that maybe this is what you feel like when you tell me that I’m pretty and I tell you not to lie. We are just two insecure lovers who found beauty in each other and now after we make love we leave our clothes off. © 2014 Laura HarrisonReviews
