There's Something Wrong In Wonderland

There's Something Wrong In Wonderland

A Poem by Laura Harrison

Alice pricked her finger on a red rose

and was mesmerized as her finger

turned the same shade of crimson

the Cheshire Cat doesn’t grin anymore

and the caterpillar has lost his wisdom

Tweedledum and Tweedledee

no longer sing their silly songs

and the Mad Hatter isn’t crazy

I think there’s something wrong

Wonderland is becoming curiouser and curiouser

Because it’s a place for the weird and wonderful

but Alice no longer believes in anything

so now everything is normal

oh, how very boring!

Now everyday

Alice swims in a room of her own tears

she no longer feels like she fits in here

she hasn’t drank from any bottle

but she feels so small

and there’s no cake in sight at all

Alice purposely pricked her finger on a red rose

and watched as the blood dripped

to the ground

and onto her toes.

I love Alice in Wonderland, and this shows you have a great imagination too. I love this one! "Curiouser, and curiouser! Cried Alice." ;) Great write, as always!
