I wake up some nights

with the feeling of dread

because I had another nightmare

that you and I are just pretend

and I can’t help but thinking

what if it’s all just a dream?

What if I wake up one morning

and you aren’t there beside me?

What if I find out without warning

that you never even were?

This life that I lead now

just seems too good to be true

because I had nothing

before I met you
