Don't Make Plans When You're YoungA Poem by Laura HarrisonWe met when we were
both 13 and were
inseparable from that
very first kiss all the
adults simpered and said “aah
young love” But we knew
that we would last well beyond
our teenage years.
I remember
the first time that we made
love we lay in
bed afterwards and talked
about us we planned
our wedding and our
children too then you
looked me in the eyes and
whispered “I love you.”
But all the
adults were right it was only
young love because I’m
19 now and there is
now ‘us.’ We planned
our future together but those
plans turned to dust because we
never planned the day that
we would break up. © 2014 Laura HarrisonReviews
