Familiar StrangersA Poem by Laura HarrisonThere is a
man I always pass on the street who looks
like someone I used to know we were so
close once upon a time but now he’s
just one of the things that I force
to the back of my mind.
I can’t help
remembering all those
times we spent together how we
stayed up all night talking
about our fears and dreams I wish that I
could forget all those
time I spent in his arms and how he
said “I love you” all the time because now he is no
longer mine.
There is a
man I always pass on the street who looks
like someone I used to know but it
cannot possibly be him because he
never smiles or says hello. © 2014 Laura HarrisonReviews
