I want to feel beautiful and worthy

like all the places that I’ll never visit

I want to feel someone’s arms wrapped around me

but I’m all alone in this deep, dark pit

I want to feel like I’m on cloud nine

instead of feeling like it’s raining in my heart

I want to feel the wonder of a rhyme

but I’ve forgotten how that even starts

I want to feel the weight of the world on my shoulders

to smother the weight of this pain

I want to feel happy and free
