I love you because you let me see you cry

yet you tell everyone else that you just yawned

I love you because you don’t think you’re beautiful

but you still listen to me when I tell you that you are

I love you because you let me kiss your stomach

even though you hate it

I love you because you put me before everyone else

even yourself.

 

Every day spent with you is another day

trying to convince you that you mean everything to me

and I am so glad that you are not perfect

but you are as close to perfect as anyone can get

and I wouldn’t dream of spending my life with anybody else
